Founded on a Simple Observation
When our founding team began working with connected home devices in 2016, one pattern kept emerging: homeowners had smart thermostats, cameras, lighting controls, and energy monitors installed, yet each device operated through its own isolated application. There was no single place to see the full picture of a home's digital ecosystem, let alone make sense of the data these devices generated.
That fragmented experience became the catalyst for VitaSmart. We set out to build a cloud platform that treats the entire home as one interconnected system rather than a collection of separate gadgets. From our early prototypes serving a handful of properties in Ontario, we expanded across provinces to deliver a platform that now supports thousands of connected devices nationwide.
Over the years, our focus has remained constant: give homeowners a clear, honest view of their resource consumption, make device management genuinely straightforward, and ensure maintenance never falls through the cracks. We believe that when people can see how their home operates, they naturally make better decisions about efficiency, comfort, and long-term property care.
